How long would you waitin the friend zone?

I met Megan and Tyler through church.  We had all been a part of a mission trip to an orphanage in Thailand where we spent 10 days together serving those kids most in need.  It was there I learned about Tyler’s amazing determination and certainty.  He told me that when he met her, he knew she was the one, although it would take a few years before she knew as well.  They had stayed friends through college and it would be a while before they went on their first date.  In that time, he got fitter and lost 30 pounds.

A few months after our trip to Thailand, Megan had signed up for a marathon and at the end of which, Tyler was there waiting with his ring and proposed.  They decided to have an elopement in a park in Pacific Grove, over looking the beautiful ocean.  It was in attended by about 10 people on a sunny October afternoon.  Chairs were laid out in the park under two giant Cyprus trees making a wonderful frame for their ceremony.  It was a heartfelt ceremony, one in which Megan shared a letter that she wrote 5 years prior in college, before she ever met her future husband.  Tyler shed some tears of joy, as we all did.  After the lovely ceremony, we took some group portraits as well as solo portraits around the park and on the rocks overlooking the water.
