At the beginning of spring, Lily and I photographed and filmed a beautiful backyard ceremony in the foothills of Alta Dena.  It was intimate, elegant, and most of all, full of joy.

Matt & Mona exude a fun, light hearted energy and the entire day was very much the same.  The event took place in the backyard of the bride’s house which was expertly decorated with rose florals and hanging lantern wine barrel lights.  The grass was perfectly cut and one of my favorite details was the fountain in the center of their garden filled wit rose petals.

It was easy working with Matt & Mona because I had the chance to shoot both their proposal and their engagement photos.  I’m pretty easy going and ninja like with my posing of the couple and it vibes well with a lot of people. I feel I can bring out people’s best look without much effort all the while making them feel comfortable.

It was a guest count of about 50, mostly close friends and family.  With the ceremony and the reception happening in the same place, there was a lot of time for everyone to interact and spend quality time with each other.

The day flowed really smoothly and on time.  It was such a blessing. Everyone was having a good time and I love how the images and video turned out.  I’m looking forward to more of these more intimate wedding celebrations in the future.
